SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  1. Presentation Category
    Choose one from the following options.
∗ 1-5 are options for invited apeakers.
 
6. Oral/Poster Session (Physician・Researcher)
7. Oral/Poster Session (Nurse, Other healthcare professionals)
8. Oral/Poster Session (Student)
    Presentation Style (Oral or Poster)will be determined by the organizing comittee.
 
  2. Language
    • English or Japanese.

  3. Disclosure of Potential Conflicts of Interest
    The Japanese Society of Pediatric Endocrinology requests all presenting authors to disclose the past three years any conflicts of interest (COI), pertaining to the presentation.
    (1) During the submission process, you will be prompted to choose your COI status.
    (2) The meeting secretariat will add one of the following sentences to the end of your abstract depending on your status of COI.
• I have COI relationship which should be disclosed.
• I don`t have COI relationship which should be disclosed.
    All presenters are requested to disclose any conflicts of interest in the presentation slides or in posters.
The templates which we will post on this website can be used for your convenience.

  4. Submission Procedure
    We accept abstract submission via the online submission system(UMIN).
If you encounter difficulties with this electronic submission, please contact the Meeting Secretariat via email.
The UMIN system is compatible only with the browsers of Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Safari, Firefox, Google Chrome. Please use either one of these browsers.

  5. Format
    (1) Ttitle
• Must be 30 words or less in single-byte, including punctuations.
    (2) Maximum Number of co-authors
You can submit 20 co-authors.
If you would like to submit more than 21 co-authors, please contact the Meeting Secretariat via email.
    (3) Maximum Number of institutions
You can submit 15 institutions.
If you would like to submit more than 16 institutions, please contact the Meeting Secretariat via email.
    (4) Abstract
    Must be 1,600 characters or less excluding authors, and institutions, in single-byte, including spaces and punctuations.
    It can include one diagram. However, if the abstract includes a diagram, the body of the abstract must be 1,072 characters or less, in single-byte, including spaces and punctuations.
    (5) Abstract Category 1(Required)
Choose one from the following options.

    (6) Abstract Category 2 (Required) and 3(Optional)
Choose one from the following options.
   
1.Adrenal Disorders
2.Pituitary, Growth Disorders
3.Puberty, Gonads, Disorders of Sex Development
4.Diabetes, Hypoglycemia
5.Obesity, Lipid Disorders
6.Thyroid Disorders
7.Disorders of Calcium and Mineral Metabolism
8.Neonatal Endocrine Disorders, Others
    (7) Note
    The abstract should clearly and specifically describe the intent of the presentation in the order of introduction, purpose, case, methods, results, conclusion and discussion.
 
  6. The responsibility of correctness/ Modifications
    Any corrections to be made to your abstract will be your own responsibility.
    Submitted abstracts will not be edited or proof-read before printing. The first/presenting authors are responsible for his/her abstract.
    The first/presenting author is responsible for getting agreements from co-authors before submission.
    After the submission period, change of abstract and addition and/or change of authors cannot be made. Please make sure all authors are entered.
 
  7. Notification of submission
    After registering your abstract, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail with your submission No..
    If you wish to make any corrections to an abstract already submitted or wish to delete your abstract, you should use your submission No. and Password.
    If you do not receive any confirmation by e-mail, please contact the Meeting Secretariat: jspe53@gressco.jp
    We cannot inform you of your password for security reasons. Please print out the website after your registration.
 
  8. Review
    Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Organize Committee, and the acceptance or rejection of the submitted abstract will be announced to the applicants via e-mail by the end of July 2019.
 
  9. Best Presentation Prize, Young Presenter Award
    1) Best Presentation Prize
      The abstract which have not been published before April 1st, 2018, are eligible.
      All accepted abstracts are considered as candidates.
    2) Young Presenter Award
      Applicants must be a member of the JSPE.
      The abstract which have not been published before April 1st, 2018, are eligible.
      Applicants must be under 40 years old as of April 1, 2019 (who was born after April 2, 1978, is eligible.)
      Applicants have to fill the birth day.
      The location of research must be in Japan.
      The applicants must make a presentation as the 1st author.
      The same person can only win the prize two times.
    In case you are selected as the upper 20 candidates, you have to submit proceedings(about 2,500 characters or less in single-byte).
    The deadline for submitting proceedings will be at the end of June.
    The final 10 candidates will be select from upper 20candidates, and they need to make a presentation on the 1st day of the meeting.
    After the presentation at the meeting, the winners of the prize will be selected and announced at the General Assembly of JSPE.
