Greetings
Dear colleagues,
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the 53rd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Pediatric Endocrinology, which will take place in September 26-28, 2019, in Kyoto, Japan.
Our field of pediatric endocrinology is unique in that we are more close to the patients as compared with our adult endocrinology colleagues. Most of the society members are involved in busy daily clinical practice while keeping up with the cutting-edge of sciences. To make this possible and fruitful, we always need to keep the patients’ needs in mind while exploring the frontier of endocrinology. With limited human resources, this goal cannot be easily achieved without close collaboration with fellow pediatric endocrinologists.
Starting from 2018, we have begun to accept abstracts from outside Japan to promote exchange of ideas on a variety of topics of pediatric endocrinology. In 2019, the English sessions will be expanded to cover the whole day on September 27. Oral and poster sessions, a plenary lecture, MTE sessions, and a get-together are all planned for this day. Hope seeing many of you in Kyoto, 2019!
